       Nowadays, balding young person has to adapt to this new phase in their life. Here are some few advices in order for you to adapt to balding age. There is a wide range of styles that people use to adapt in order to help themselves. We are all different from each other, so we can't say which ones are most effective for you. The choice is yours. Adaptation is related to personality and we all have favorite ways to adapt to problems, and losing your hair is a problem. Some of us tend to avoid issues as much as possible, others try to fix what does not work and then to solve the difficulty. We all can develop ways of adapting. Whatever is your preferred method of adaptation, think of the suggestions below and try to incorporate into your repertoire.

       Psychologists have studied the problem of adaptation in a certain depth. There are many processes through which a person passes when faced with stress and disease. These include: problem solving, adapting and the approach itself. These processes do not occur in isolation - you move back and forth through these stages. We will discuss each process in turn.

       Balding cause imbalance - your notions of individuality and individual identity are all affected, sometimes irreparably. But the first thing you got to do psychologically is to assess the situation. What it means to me that I suffer from alopecia? How this will affect my life? How will I do? Adapt to balding

       There are several ways in which to learn to adapt to balding. Two psychologists, Moos and Schaefer, talking about adaptation to illness in general, have proposed seven general objectives:

  • Facing the symptoms. In this case we talk about hair loss and other associated diseases such as eczema, asthma and nail problems. Psychological disorder, anxiety and depression are also symptoms that balding young person manifest.
  • Facing the treatment. It may be a difficult goal for you, the treatments can be expensive, long, painful - and possibly ineffective. Also it involves the need to make choices about acceptance or rejection of treatment and choice of a particular type of treatment.
  • Fostering relationships with health staff. In this case can be your family doctor, dermatologists, therapists and, possibly, specialists in alternative therapies. But for balding people the dermatologist is the right person to help them.
  • Maintaining emotional balance. You should try to offset the negative emotions (pain, sadness, anger) that you live, cultivating positive ones (joy, pleasure, happiness).
  • Maintenance of self image, competence and capacity. In many balding people, this involves facing the fact that you have no longer hair.
  • Maintaining relationships with family and friends. It is important to keep your social support network, this can be problematic if you think that others treat you badly or make fun of you just because you are at the balding age. Your family and friends will not actually get you in derision, nor will they ostracize you. They will want to support you - although they may not know how to do it.
  • Preparing for an uncertain future. Alopecia means loss (of hair) and, for some people, it is a loss. If this is your case, it is important for you to get used with this idea and to embrace it in order to redefine your future.
